The Second Indonesia-Africa Forum is set to take place in Bali, Indonesia, from September 1st to 3rd, 2024. The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, will represent President Bola Tinubu at the forum.
The theme of the event, “Bandung Spirit for Africa’s Agenda 2023,” is a nod to the historic 1955 Bandung Conference in Indonesia, which was significant for fostering solidarity and collaboration between Asia and Africa. This forum aims to build on that legacy by enhancing cooperation between Indonesia and African nations, focusing on trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
The forum will highlight Nigeria’s investment potential and President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. It will also provide a platform for Nigerian businesses to explore opportunities in Indonesia’s economy. The forum underscores the growing partnership between Nigeria and Indonesia, marked by an increase in trade volume and mutual support initiatives, such as the recent donation of vaccines by Indonesia to Nigeria.
