President Bola Tinubu has reconstituted the palliative distribution committee due to dissatisfaction with the previous distribution of aid to those in need. This decision was announced by lawmaker Jibrin during the launch of palliative distribution in Kano State for the North West zone.
Jibrin emphasized the administration’s commitment to alleviating hardship and urged Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s efforts to improve the economy and provide relief. He assured that the new committee would ensure a transparent and equitable distribution of aid, reaching grassroots communities.
Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, revealed that the federal government had dispatched 90 trucks of foodstuffs and 20 additional trucks to Kano, but noted that the distribution had previously been inadequate.
