Alhaji Mustapha Usman-Adamu, Chief Coordinator of the Horse Racing Committee for the emirate, revealed the plans during an interview in Birnin Kebbi on Sunday. Usman-Adamu, who is also the Sarkin Bargun Ka’oje, emphasized that the reintroduction of the horse racing event is part of a broader effort to foster cohesion and cultural pride within the emirate.
The announcement followed a maiden stakeholders’ meeting, where various community leaders and representatives gathered to discuss the event’s logistics and significance.
