In the midst of the intense debate surrounding the tragic death of singer Mohbad, his widow, Wunmi, has made a notable response to recent serious accusations. According to Tooxclusive, Mohbad’s close friend, Prime Boy, has suggested that Wunmi should be questioned by the police regarding her alleged involvement in Mohbad’s passing.
In response to these claims, Wunmi took to social media with a cryptic video. The footage features a small woman, Aunty Ramota, drinking from a bottle that appears to contain water while swatting away flies. Many fans interpret this video as Wunmi’s way of dismissing Prime Boy’s accusations, symbolically “drinking the tears of her haters.”
This video surfaces amidst Prime Boy’s own controversies. He has been named a suspect in the investigation into Mohbad’s death and has faced criticism from internet users. Prime Boy has expressed frustration over the accusations, which he denies, and points to several individuals, including Mohbad’s widow, his mother, and Wunmi’s sister Karimot, who have questioned Wunmi’s involvement. He also mentioned his challenges while caring for Mohbad’s young son, Liam, amidst the ongoing scrutiny.
The legal team representing Mohbad’s family has voiced concerns over the public disclosure of sensitive details. Taiwo Odumosu, a key member of the legal team, emphasized that such information should be handled by the police to avoid hindering the investigation. The team has called for proper handling of witnesses and a focus on uncovering the truth rather than engaging in personal disputes.
Meanwhile, a Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has ordered substituted service for key witnesses in the ongoing inquest into Mohbad’s death. Witnesses include Mohbad’s sister-in-law, Karimot Ogunbayo; Boluwatife Adeyemo (aka Darosha); Mohbad’s lawyer, Oluwasanmi Falade; nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe; and driver Fidelis Esanbor. To ensure their attendance, the court has granted an application to serve witness summons through national newspapers and social media. The court has also granted a recall for Wunmi and ASP Muhammad Yusuf, the IPO in charge of the case, to address new issues.
Mohbad, who passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, remains at the center of significant controversy and social media discussion.
