Asake, Davido, and Wizkid Make History at the O2 Arena

Following the release of his third album, Lungu Boy, Asake embarked on a world tour, showcasing his talent at prominent venues, including the iconic O2 Arena. During his electrifying concert at the O2, Asake performed fan-favorite tracks, captivating an audience that included notable figures like Grammy winner  Davido and actor Idris Elba. Elba honored Asake with a sold-out plaque and a BRIT silver plaque for his previous album, Work Of Art

Asake’s achievement of selling out the O2 Arena, which has a capacity of 20,000, places him alongside other Nigerian Afrobeats icons like Davido and Wizkid, who have also accomplished this feat multiple times. The O2 Arena has been pivotal in showcasing the international success of Afrobeats, with Davido being the first Nigerian solo performer to headline there in 2018, followed by Wizkid’s memorable performances in 2019 and a three-night run in 2021.
