Prof. Kalu Eni Urges Abians to Support Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for 2027 Elections
Renowned academic, Prof. Kalu Eni, has called on the people of Abia State to unite behind Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, the current representative of Abia North Senatorial District, in the upcoming 2027 National Assembly elections. Prof. Eni urged the public to persuade other political parties to refrain from fielding candidates against Kalu, emphasizing the lawmaker’s exceptional contributions to the region.
In a conversation with the media, Prof. Eni highlighted Kalu’s remarkable achievements, particularly his facilitation of the construction of over 80 schools in Abia North during a single budget year. He described this accomplishment as a first in Nigerian history, underscoring the significant impact it has had on the local education system.
“I was astonished when I reviewed the 2024 budget and saw that Senator Kalu had facilitated the construction of 80 schools in one budget cycle,” Prof. Eni said. “This is an achievement that makes every Abian proud. We must rally around him to ensure his continued leadership. Abia North cannot afford to lose such a visionary leader.”
Prof. Eni further praised Kalu’s dedication to education, a commitment he first demonstrated during his tenure as governor of Abia State, where he introduced free and compulsory education for all. As a Senator, Kalu has continued this legacy by providing free educational materials, including uniforms, school bags, and textbooks, to students in his constituency.
“Senator Kalu is a true lover of education and the growth of our children. His investments in the sector have laid a solid foundation for the future of Abia State and Nigeria,” Prof. Eni added. “He is one of the few leaders who prioritize the welfare of the youth, and we must ensure that his work continues for the betterment of the region.”
The academic concluded by urging Abians to support Kalu’s re-election bid, describing him as the best representative in the history of the Abia North Senatorial District.
