The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has advised new corps members to accept their service postings positively and to resist the urge to request relocations. Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, NYSC Director-General, delivered this message during the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course at the Magaji Dan Yamusa NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
Ahmed encouraged corps members to actively engage in nation-building and development within their assigned communities, emphasizing the importance of making meaningful contributions. He advised against participating in risky activities and underscored the need for adherence to security protocols to ensure personal safety.
The Director-General highlighted that the positive impact of corps members on their host communities is vital to the continued relevance of the NYSC Scheme. He urged the new corps members to be exemplary representatives of their families, the NYSC, and the nation.
