The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has paraded four suspects arrested for various crimes, including truck vandalism and online payment scams.
Among the suspects is 29-year-old Olamilekan Olowookere, who was employed as a truck driver but was caught dismantling and selling truck parts as scrap. He was arrested along with Abba Idris, a scrap dealer, and Ejitunde Wasiu, a vulcanizer, in the Ikeja area.
In another case, 28-year-old Ahmed Hamisu was arrested for operating fake online payment receipts to scam unsuspecting victims. The NSCDC apprehended him in Ajegunle after receiving complaints from two victims. His accomplices, including individuals identified as Yinusa and Mohammed, remain at large.
Lagos State NSCDC Commandant Adedotun Keshinro warned the public to be vigilant against such scams. He revealed that the fraudsters used fake bank alerts, military camouflage, and multiple phone numbers to deceive their victims.
The security agency has urged citizens to stay cautious and report suspicious activities.
