The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Katsina Command, led by Commandant Aminu Ahmed, has pledged to work closely with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Katsina Area Command, led by Comptroller Idris Abba-Aji, to combat trans-border crimes and enhance national security in the state.
During a familiarization visit to the Customs House in Katsina, Ahmed emphasized the long-standing collaborative relationship between the two agencies, which includes intelligence sharing, joint operations, and training. He noted the leadership vision of the Commandant General of NSCDC, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, focusing on safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure.
Ahmed further reiterated the importance of continued cooperation between the NSCDC and NCS, with a focus on promoting safety, securing the nation’s assets, and tackling cross-border criminal activities. He expressed his appreciation for the warm reception he received and assured continued synergy in their security efforts.
The collaboration between the NSCDC and NCS is seen as an essential step towards strengthening national security and addressing various security challenges in the region.
