No Replacement Planned for Lookman, Club Confirms

Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini has acknowledged that the club is still looking for a replacement for Nigeria international Ademola Lookman, who continues to make a significant impact on the team. Despite being rested in their recent 5-0 win over Sturm Graz in the UEFA Champions League, Lookman showed his quality upon coming on as a substitute at halftime. He scored a brilliant header in the 90th minute, taking his tally to 14 goals in 26 games across all competitions this season.

Gasperini, speaking after the match, highlighted the importance of having players who can come in and make a difference, and emphasized that the club is still trying to find a suitable replacement for Lookman and Charles De Ketelaere. He mentioned that if Nicolò Zaniolo can step into that role, it could be a solution. Gasperini also praised Lazar Samardžić for his recent performances, noting that the team has the potential to grow further.
