JAMB Reschedules 2025 UTME Registration to February 3

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a shift in the registration date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Instead of the initially planned Friday, January 31, 2025, registration will now begin on Monday, February 3, 2025.

JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, explained that the delay is due to essential adjustments that need to be made to the registration templates. These changes are partly in response to recent developments, such as the suspension of certain law programs at select universities, as communicated by the Council for Legal Education. Additionally, JAMB discovered that some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres had been approved using misleading facilities, necessitating further scrutiny and corrections to ensure compliance.

While acknowledging the potential disruption caused by this delay, JAMB has apologized for any inconvenience it may cause to candidates and other stakeholders. The extra time will be used to make the necessary changes, ensuring a smooth registration process when it officially opens on February 3, 2025.
