Lord’s Chosen Dismisses Viral Testimonies as ‘Dreams,’ Urges People Not to Trust Bloggers

Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries Responds to Viral Testimonies

The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries has addressed recent viral videos of testimonies from its members, which have been widely mocked and questioned. The church has denounced the videos as doctored and urged the public not to believe everything they see online.

The videos in question featured extraordinary claims, including one member’s testimony of being carried by a lion and another’s story of fighting off robbers. One elderly woman claimed to have miraculously taken control of armed robbers’ weapons, while another person reported surviving a kidnapping and violent attacks without injury.

Pastor Chidi Louis, Head of Public Relations and Media for the church, has clarified that these testimonies were taken out of context. He explained that the events described occurred in dreams, not in reality. “The woman who claimed to fight robbers was recounting a dream, not an actual event,” he said.

Pastor Louis criticized bloggers for their role in spreading misinformation. He described the videos as attempts to discredit the church’s activities and emphasized that they were edited to misrepresent the testimonies.

The church has urged Nigerians to refer to their official platforms for the full and accurate versions of the testimonies. They have also released the complete video of the woman’s testimony on their TikTok handle, clarifying that her experiences occurred in a dream and should not be misconstrued.

The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries remains committed to ensuring that the true context of their members’ experiences is understood and that misleading content is challenged.
