The Kano State Government has assured potential investors of their safety and protection while operating within the state’s mining sector. The announcement was made by the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Safiyanu Kachako, during a meeting with Mr. Alex Zhang, the Managing Director of Zarthwish Company, a mining firm.
In a statement released by the Director of Public Enlightenment for the Ministry of Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Adamu Dabo, Kachako emphasized the state’s commitment to creating a secure and supportive environment for both foreign and Nigerian investors looking to establish mining operations in Kano.
Kachako assured that the state government is dedicated to fostering a harmonious working relationship with investors. He highlighted that this commitment aims to provide employment opportunities, boost internal revenue, and contribute to community development while ensuring that mining activities do not harm the environment.
In response, Mr. Alex Zhang expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and the detailed presentation of the state’s mineral deposits. Zhang noted his satisfaction with the variety of mineral samples analyzed and displayed by Kachako and Alhaji Muhammad Bala, the Director of Solid Minerals Exploration.
Zhang stated that his company would carefully review the investment offer and assess the most suitable areas for collaboration with the Kano State Government to achieve mutual goals.
This initiative is part of Kano State’s broader strategy to attract investment and promote economic development through its rich mineral resources
