In the wake of the Ezeship conflict in Umuezeanoruo Eziama Autonomous Community in Nkwerre Council Area, Imo State, Eze Emmanuel Ekwujuru Uzoho has responded to allegations made by Nze Emeka Obiefule. Uzoho, speaking to the press in Owerri, clarified that an interview he granted to Chikezie Nwadike had been misrepresented by Obiefule. Uzoho emphasized that his interview was correctly credited to him and condemned Obiefule for trying to divert attention from the police invitation issued against him.
Uzoho urged Obiefule to face the charges against him, stating that he had written the petition and that the issues raised were verifiable. He also reminded Obiefule of a police invitation served on January 30, 2025, which he had not honored, despite a police team coming from Abuja to Imo State for his arrest. Uzoho contrasted his own willingness to cooperate with law enforcement with Obiefule’s evasion.
Despite accusations being made against Chikezie Nwadike, Uzoho has appealed for Nwadike not to pursue legal action, although Nwadike has stated he would not hesitate to go to court if the defamation continues. Nwadike also expressed his frustration with being falsely implicated and warned that intimidation tactics would only create more enemies.
