Aribibia Fubara, a Director with the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue Service, has been abducted in a dramatic and violent incident. According to reports, Fubara was seized by a group of gunmen on Monday evening.
The abduction took place when the assailants, approximately six in number, used a speedboat to travel from Okirika waterfront to the Marine Base area of Port Harcourt. Upon reaching the Marine Base, the gunmen fired shots indiscriminately into the air, creating chaos and fear among residents.
The attackers swiftly located Fubara, forcibly took him aboard their boat, and escaped to an unknown destination. The situation has raised significant concerns about security and safety in the region. Authorities are currently investigating the incident and working to secure Fubara’s release.
