The Anambra State Government has demolished Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also known as La Cruise Hotel, in Oba, Idemili South LGA, following allegations that it was being used as a cover for kidnapping and ritual activities.
Authorities reportedly discovered over 30 partitioned graves within the facility, which was disguised as a hospitality business. A viral video shared by the Anambra State New Media office under Governor Chukwuma Soludo showed the demolition process, along with evidence of graves and other disturbing findings.
A voice in the footage claimed that a blood-filled pot, live ammunition, and cartridges were recovered from the site and handed over to the police as evidence.
“They built the shrine in the hotel, where they performed most of their spiritual activities before leaving,” the voice added.
The incident has sparked widespread concern, with many calling for heightened security measures to prevent similar criminal activities in the state.
