Dangote Refinery Presents Initial Petrol Sample, Aimed at Serving Nigerians and Africans: Breaking News

Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, has showcased the first sample of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, from his newly operational refinery. The presentation took place on Tuesday at the refinery located in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.

The refinery, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, has recently completed a test run of the petrol. Dangote took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Nigerian people and the government led by President Bola Tinubu for their support and for facilitating the success of the project.

Dangote highlighted the significance of the refinery’s operation, stating, “I would like to salute the people of Nigeria and the government of President Bola Tinubu for giving us the platform for growth, development, and prosperity. I also want to thank him personally for creating the idea of the Naira for crude. Doing that will give Naira stability.”

He further explained that the refinery’s ability to track every loaded truck and ship will provide insights into Nigeria’s true consumption patterns. Dangote emphasized that the refinery is not only poised to meet the demands of Nigerians but also to serve the needs of sub-Saharan Africa.

The refinery is expected to alleviate ongoing fuel shortages in Nigeria and contribute to regional energy security, marking a significant milestone in the country’s energy sector.
