Francisca Owumi, the first runner-up of the inaugural season of Big Brother Naija in 2006, has tragically passed away. Her family announced the news on Instagram with a heartfelt message: “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
According to Naija News, Owumi died after a brief illness. She was widely recognized for her vibrant dance moves and engaging personality during her time on the reality show. In the BBNaija house, she shared space with notable contestants such as Katung Aduwak, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, and the late Joseph Ada.
After her appearance on Big Brother Naija, Owumi pursued a career in music, releasing two singles, “Gbadun You” and “Diva,” under her own record label, Cisca Entertainment, in 2012. She also worked as a writer for Revista, an international magazine based in Ghana.
Radicals Evicted from Big Brother Naija Season 9
In related news, the pair known as Radicals, consisting of Fairme David and Michkey, have been evicted from the ongoing season 9 of Big Brother Naija. The eviction took place on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
Naija News reports that the Radicals’ eviction marks the sixth pair to be eliminated from the “No Loose Guard” season. The eviction came after a tense nomination process in which four pairs—Wanni X Handi, DoubleKay, Radicals, and Aces—were put up for possible elimination by their fellow housemates.
Following the departure of the Radicals, eight pairs remain in the house, each vying for the grand prize. The competition continues to intensify as the season progresses.
