The Lagos State Government has launched electronic registration for the 2025 Universal Basic Education (UBE) via Continuous Assessment Scores (CAS) and the Placement Test. This initiative is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education for its citizens.
A circular issued on Monday by Mr. Orunsolu Adebayo, Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, announced that registration will take place from Monday, January 27 to Friday, April 18, 2025.
The circular stated, “Only primary six pupils from public and approved private primary schools in Lagos State are eligible to take part in the UBE by CAS and Placement Test.”
The registration is free for pupils attending public primary schools, while students from approved private primary schools are required to pay a fee of N5,000 per candidate through the Lagos State Central Billing System.
Additionally, the Lagos State Examinations Board has included Yoruba Language as one of the subjects for the Placement Test, aiming to assess students’ knowledge and cognitive skills.
Adebayo assured parents and other stakeholders that all necessary steps have been taken to facilitate a smooth and efficient registration process. He also emphasized that no child would be overlooked during the registration period.
