Senator Philip Aduda, the Senate minority leader of the 9th Senate, has extended his condolences to the family of the late former FCT Minister, Lt. General Jeremiah Useni, who passed away on Thursday after a prolonged illness. Aduda also offered his sympathies to the government and people of Plateau State.
In a personal condolence message made available to the press, Aduda acknowledged the indelible marks and legacies left by Useni on the people of the FCT. He emphasized that Useni’s contributions, particularly in institutionalizing and recognizing traditional stools, along with his remarkable achievements as the former FCT Minister, were still vivid in his memory.
Reflecting on his time working with Useni, Aduda noted that as the Minority Leader of the 9th Senate, where Useni had once served as a Senator for Plateau South, they had worked closely together on zonal and national issues. He highlighted Useni’s credibility and leadership, which fostered a strong bond between them and allowed for wise counsel in pursuing their shared goals.
Aduda expressed hope that Useni’s family would find comfort in his extraordinary contributions and legacy as a democrat and passionate leader. He prayed that the family would receive the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.
