Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC has officially unveiled its final roster of players and coaching staff for the upcoming Nigeria National League (NNL) season. The announcement was made during a ceremony held in Ilorin, where the club introduced its nationwide Player’s Talent and Development Programme (PTDP) participants and new technical team members.
Player and Coaching Staff Announcements:
Director of Football, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, highlighted the PTDP as a crucial platform for talented youth to gain prominence and combat poverty through football. The programme aims to nurture young talent and prepare them for future success.
Technical Adviser, Sanni Ahmed Sardauna, and Assistant Coach, Salihu Aremu, were introduced. Both coaches have been offered a season contract with the objective of leading the team back to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Training and Tours:
The selected players will undergo a three-month training period before embarking on a Europe tour, scheduled to visit five countries. In addition to the 30 PTDP players, another 30 players have been selected for the N-Youth League Cup starting in September.
Support and Development:
Chukwuemeka commended Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the club’s proprietor, for his support in providing a platform for youth development. The Chairman of Kwara State FA, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa, also praised ABS FC for its commitment to grassroots football, aligning with the FA’s efforts in football development.
Jimoh Bashir, the Coordinator of ABS FC, urged the players to seize the opportunity and maintain discipline.

Consultant Shogo Shodunnke emphasized that the PTDP aims to offer hope and opportunities through football, viewing it as a pathway to greatness for the youth.
Coach Sardauna vowed to meet expectations and achieve the team’s goals with the support of all stakeholders. Henry Christopher, speaking on behalf of the PTDP players, expressed gratitude for the opportunity and enthusiasm for the programme.
