Governor Otti and Orji Kalu Applaud Onyinyechi Mark for Her Weightlifting Triumph”

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, have congratulated Onyinyechi Mark, Nigeria’s first gold medalist at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, following her record-breaking performance in the powerlifting competition. Mark set a new world record by lifting 61kg, an achievement that has brought immense pride to Nigeria and Abia State.

In his message on Sunday, Governor Otti praised Mark for her extraordinary feat, highlighting how she has made both her state and the nation proud. “A hearty congratulations to Onyinyechi Mark on her incredible achievement at the Paralympics in Paris! She won Nigeria’s first gold medal in the entire Paralympic. Beating her old world record in the powerlifting category and setting a new world record is truly remarkable,” Otti stated.
