The Ogun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed a tragic accident that resulted in the death of two children in Kere, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State. The incident, which occurred around 11 pm on Saturday, involved a white Toyota Camry with the registration number AGL36JA.
According to Florence Okpe, the spokesperson for the FRSC Command, the accident was attributed to overloading and excessive speed. In addition to the two children who lost their lives, seven other individuals sustained varying degrees of injuries.
The injured victims were promptly taken to Ifo General Hospital for medical treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were also deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
The FRSC’s Itori Unit Command carried out the rescue operation, emphasizing the critical role of safe driving practices and adherence to traffic regulations to prevent such unfortunate incidents.
