Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has declared his intention to win the 2027 presidential election. During the inauguration of the NNPP Secretariat along IBB Way, Katsina, on Saturday, Kwankwaso emphasized the party’s preparedness to take over the presidency, as well as other key positions across the country.
Kwankwaso, who was in Katsina for a condolence visit to the Yar’adua family following the death of their matriarch, Hajiya Dada, expressed confidence in the party’s success in the upcoming general elections. He criticized the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), asserting that it is “already dead” and reaffirmed NNPP’s commitment to gaining political ground.
The NNPP leader urged Nigerians, particularly women and youths, to resist being swayed by material incentives during elections. He called on party leaders to intensify their efforts to ensure the party’s success both in the state and nationwide.
In addition to his political ambitions, Kwankwaso pledged support for Abubakar Ibrahim, a young boy from Yammawa area suffering from severe acute malnutrition.
NNPP State Chairman, Alhaji Armaya’u Abdulkadir, highlighted the party’s efforts to educate the electorate about their new logo, which symbolizes education for all. Abdulkadir emphasized the importance of grassroots sensitization to promote the new logo’s significance.
Kwankwaso’s statements come amid ongoing political developments and party dynamics in Nigeria, with his focus clearly set on the 2027 elections and the revitalization of the NNPP’s image and influence.
