At the same time, media personality Daniel Regha ignited a debate by criticizing Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, for donating N1 billion to a church. Regha argued that while charitable contributions are commendable, the substantial amount could have been more effectively used to create job opportunities in a country facing severe poverty. He commented, “Giving to the church is fine, but donating over a billion to any church, in a country where millions are starving and struggling to survive, doesn’t seem right.”
