The abduction of a family of four in Chikakore community, located in the Bwari Area Council, has prompted a swift response from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command. The incident occurred in the early hours of January 27, 2025, when seven individuals, disguised as vigilante members and armed with machetes and sticks, stormed the residence of the victims. The suspects deceived the family into opening their gate before abducting the victim and three of his family members.
A neighbor who attempted to intervene was injured during the attack and was taken to Kubwa General Hospital for treatment. Following the distress call, the FCT Police swiftly deployed operatives to the scene and have since launched a comprehensive search and rescue operation.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the attack, urging the public to remain calm and vigilant. The police are calling on anyone with useful information to assist with the investigation and rescue efforts. Authorities remain committed to securing the safe release of the victims and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
