The House of Representatives has postponed its plenary resumption from Tuesday, January 28, 2025, to Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
In a statement issued on Friday, House spokesman Akin Rotimi, who represents Ikole/Oye Federal Constituency in Ekiti State, confirmed the change, stating that the decision was communicated through an internal memorandum by the Clerk of the House, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, on the directive of the House Leadership.
The postponement was deemed necessary to allow House committees more time to conclude ongoing budget engagements and defenses with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
“This measure ensures a comprehensive approach to legislative responsibilities,” the statement read.
The House also reiterated its commitment to fulfilling its legislative mandate for the benefit of Nigerians.
