“Governor Obaseki and Others Rally in Agenebode for PDP Support”

The open field of Ogbaki Primary School in Agenebode, the headquarters of Etsako East Local Government Area, transformed into a vibrant carnival ground on Tuesday as Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, alongside Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Dr. Asue Ighodalo, his running mate Osarodion Ogie, and other top party officials, rallied for votes.

In his address, Governor Obaseki emphasized the critical need for capable leadership in Edo State amidst the ongoing national challenges. He warned against electing individuals who lack the competence to effectively manage the state’s affairs. Obaseki assured the crowd that Dr. Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie are well-equipped to continue and build upon the progress made in the state, including the ongoing School of Agriculture (Fishery and Aquaculture) project.

Dr. Ighodalo, in his speech, pledged to complete all current projects and initiate new ones if elected. He also promised to harness the economic potential of the River Niger, which flows through Agenebode, to boost the local economy and generate wealth for the riverine communities between Illushi in Esan South East and Agenebode.

Council Chairman Hon. Mrs. Benedicta Attoh declared that Etsako East is fully committed to supporting the PDP, while Edo State PDP Chairman Dr. Tony Aziegbemi expressed gratitude for the local support and welcomed numerous defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) into the party.

The rally marked a significant show of strength and unity for the PDP as they campaign for the upcoming elections.
