The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared one Ibrahim Mohammed wanted in connection with allegations of theft and the unlawful possession of an agency vehicle. The announcement was made in a statement released on Friday by the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Wale Oyewale, through the Commission’s social media platforms.
Mohammed, 26, hails from Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa State. However, the EFCC did not specify whether he is or was an employee of the Commission, nor did they provide additional details about how he allegedly came into possession of the Commission’s vehicle. The circumstances surrounding the theft remain unclear.
The EFCC’s statement reads: “The public is hereby notified that IBRAHIM MOHAMMED, whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an alleged case of Stealing and Illegal Possession of Commission’s Vehicle. Mohammed, 26, is an indigene of Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa State and his last known address is: 56 Japa Bariki Road, Adamawa State.”
The anti-graft agency has urged anyone with information on Mohammed’s whereabouts to contact the nearest EFCC office. The statement mentioned several locations where the EFCC can be reached, including their offices in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, and Abuja. Alternatively, individuals can report to the nearest police station or other relevant security agencies.
As the EFCC intensifies its search for Mohammed, the Commission is calling on the public to assist in bringing him to justice by providing any valuable information that could lead to his arrest.
