“Driver Flees Scene After Killing Woman on Lagos-Badagry Expressway

A tragic hit-and-run incident on Friday morning claimed the life of a female pedestrian on the Mowo axis of the Agbara-Badagry Expressway.

The accident, which occurred around 6:00 a.m., involved an unidentified driver who fled the scene. According to Mr. William Manga, Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Badagry Unit, the command received a report of the accident at 11:25 a.m., with their team arriving on site at 11:26 a.m.

“The accident happened at the Mosafejo-Mowo axis of the Badagry Expressway. The victim sustained severe head injuries and unfortunately died before our team could reach the location,” Manga said.

The deceased has been transported to the General Hospital in Badagry for an autopsy, and no personal belongings were recovered from the victim.

Manga urged pedestrians to exercise caution when crossing expressways and appealed to motorists to adhere to speed limits and traffic regulations to prevent such incidents.
