CBN Appoints New Board Chairman and Directors for Keystone Bank

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has appointed a new chairman and board of directors for Keystone Bank, as part of efforts to drive sustained growth and strengthen governance within the financial institution. The appointments include Lady Ada Chukwudozie as the new board chairman, along with five non-executive directors and two executive directors.

The CBN’s decision follows its earlier move in January to dissolve the boards of Union Bank, Keystone Bank, and Polaris Bank for non-compliance with the Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act (BOFIA) of 2020. The new board members bring diverse experience in business, banking, and corporate finance, aimed at further positioning Keystone Bank for success.

Keystone Bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Hassan Imam, expressed optimism about the appointments, emphasizing that the collective expertise of the new board will aid the bank’s efforts to maintain strong corporate governance and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
