Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has appointed Dr. Law Mefor as the new Commissioner for Information, succeeding Mr. Paul Nwosu, who was dismissed earlier the same day. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the State Executive Council Chambers in Government House, Awka.
Governor Soludo highlighted the urgent need for accurate and timely information dissemination and expressed confidence in Mefor’s ability to enhance the state’s information framework. Mefor, a veteran writer, public speaker, and media personality with over 25 years of experience, outlined his plans to advance media literacy, modernize the Information Ministry, and foster collaborations with media organizations.
