PDP Summons Wike in Connection with Alleged Anti-Party Conduct

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has summoned former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike to appear before its disciplinary committee. The decision follows Wike’s recent controversial remarks about “putting fire in their states,” which was directed at PDP governors.

Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Ibrahim Abdullahi, confirmed the development during an interview with Channels TV. Abdullahi expressed disappointment over Wike’s comments, stating that such remarks are unacceptable and contrary to the party’s expectations. He emphasized that Wike’s statements were inappropriate and that the party does not support such behavior.

The PDP is addressing the situation to manage internal discord and maintain unity within the party. Wike’s appearance before the disciplinary committee will likely involve discussions on the implications of his comments and potential consequences for his actions.
