A 32-year-old man, Sunday Abilewa, has been charged with the murder of his 68-year-old father, Abu Abilewa, in Isua Akoko, Ondo State. The incident allegedly occurred after Sunday requested his father buy him a new motorcycle, and when his father refused, it led to an argument. During the altercation, Sunday allegedly strangled his father to death. Efforts by the mother to intervene were unsuccessful, as Sunday was reportedly under the influence of hard drugs at the time.
