JAMB Announces Dates for 2025 UTME and Application Details
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the dates for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). According to JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the sales of forms for the examination will begin on January 31, 2025, and close on March 5, 2025.
For direct entry candidates, the sale of application documents and e-PIN vending will commence on March 10, 2025, and close on April 7, 2025.
Key dates for the 2025 UTME include:
- Mock UTME: April 5, 2025
- Main UTME: April 25, 2025 – May 5, 2025
The cost for candidates registering for the UTME with a mock exam is ₦8,200, while those opting for UTME only will pay ₦7,200. The breakdown of the fees is as follows:
- UTME/DE Application Fee: ₦3,500
- Reading Text: ₦1,000
- CBT Centre Registration Service Charge: ₦700
- CBT Centre UTME Service Charge: ₦1,500
- CBT Mock Service Charge: ₦1,500
- Bank Charges: ₦500
- CBT Mock-UTME Centre Charge: ₦1,500
In addition, a mock UTME designed specifically for candidates below 16 years of age has been introduced. This initiative is not intended for admission but to allow younger candidates to test their abilities ahead of the exam.
Eligibility for Admission: To qualify for admission into tertiary institutions, candidates must be at least 16 years old on or before September 30, 2025. However, exceptional underage candidates aged 15 and above may be considered if they score at least 280 in the UTME and perform excellently in their Senior Secondary Certificate and post-UTME examinations.
